One hundred two students were selected from 70 schools for academic achievements.
The Department of Education has announced its ninth cohort of scholars from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), recognizing 102 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students for their scholastic achievements. These individuals will serve as ambassadors for the White House for the next academic school year, receiving experience through their engagement in this program.
“Our 2023 HBCU Scholars are talented students who embody the culture of excellence and inclusion championed by our nation ’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities,” said Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. “I’m thrilled to see the HBCU Scholars program continue to expand its reach and provide such exciting professional development, networking, and educational opportunities to some of our nation’s brightest and most promising young leaders.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Education Secretary Cardona as he encourages the HBCU scholars in the cohort.
- For the president and first lady as they support programs for higher education.
